Fox, slightly perturbed, Ed and Fey in other room with Pixi. Jamie and Fox are setting the table. Fox “Seriously, how?” Jamie “The power outage. I got a call for an explosion at the substation.” Pixi “And you’d been talking about those two anthroids at work.”
Fox focused on Jamie, Jamie serious, Pixi continuing. Jamie “Everyones ok.” Pixi pressing on “So…” Jamie “So we figured. What’s Fox do?”
Pixi with a wink “He decides “I can “feed” them, right?”. “And since Kitty’s favorite treat was burgers down on Pawhill Drive…” “And you’ve never survived a meal there without making a mess…”
Pixi leaning into Jamie, who’s got his arm around her, both looking affectionately at Fox. “You’d swing by to change out of your uniferm.” “And we could head you off at the pass.” Ed and Fey off to one side. “He’s right.” “That is creepy.”

Sometimes your real good friends know you better than you do. I've been enjoying this... arc, I guess? Series of comics lately that are closer together, though I know it's not in the usual theme... I wonder, sometimes, if I should put like, chapter tags for these. So you can jump to the first power outage, or like, the start of the kittentails... Maybe a good idea for later. I've been having a lot of fun drawing this set, Pixi in particular, though, of course, that means a lot of inconsistency. I think that last panel might be the fluffiest her ears have ever been. lol

    I’m torn between Fay and Ed making the better joke here for me, or watching Fox have the joke be made at his expense, but the shifting affection was so eye-catching… So much tenderness here!
