CHARACTERS:

MOUSEOVER TEXT:
Watch that first step. It’s a doozy.
PANEL
Mike, mauled on the floor, Pixi huffing and puffing and tempted to do more. Fox, and Essie looking down at him cheerfully.
MIKE
What the hell? I was just being friendly.
MIKE
She didn’t have to-
FOX
She?
ESSIE
I didn’t see anybody.
PANEL
Mike, up on his forearms, looking pleading at Fay and Ed. Fox ushers Pixi out. Fay and Ed looking at each other, worried/concerned.
MIKE
Come on. You saw that?
PANEL
Fay and Ed looking down at Mike. Essie behind him (ready to sweep his arms out from under him with a turn) Mike looking up, mouth agape.
FAY
Perhaps we need a sign?
ED
That fall looked bad.
FAY
Old stairs.
ED
Very dangerous.
PANEL
Mike, planting flat, arms swept out in front of him (maybe biting his tongue). Essie turning all the way around to follow Fox, her tail sweeping out his arms. Fay and ed (tails only?) walking away the other direction.
FAY, ED
We should look into that.
ESSIE
Yes. Before somebody gets hurt.
You really have to be careful in these historic old buildings. You never know when you might catch a loose bit of carpet, or an off step...
This was a lot of fun to draw, even if the various perspectives were challenging. I really wanted to get across that Essie was sweeping Mike's arms out from under him with her tail when she turns... I think I got there?
